Bethany Church Mission Trip in Stillwater, MN

This will be our second trip to Bethany Church in Stillwater, Minnesota, and the need is still very real.

On our first trip, we discovered the extent of the damage the church had been facing. Years of moisture infiltration had created severe mold problems throughout the building, making it difficult for the congregation to safely gather. Our team was able to complete critical exterior work to help stop water from entering the facility and remove materials that had become breeding grounds for mold.

One of the most significant problems was hidden beneath the building. The church’s HVAC ductwork ran underground, where it was pulling in moisture from the surrounding soil. That moisture eventually turned into mold and was then circulated throughout the entire building through the duct system.

Since our last visit, the ductwork has been reconfigured to stop that cycle. Because of that progress, Bethany Church can finally begin the next step toward reopening their space to the community.

Now they are ready to rebuild.

Our upcoming trip will focus on restoring the foyer and worship center so they can once again become welcoming spaces for worship, fellowship, and ministry. We plan to install new flooring throughout the main areas of the building and complete additional exterior projects to protect the facility from future moisture problems.

But more than fixing a building, this trip is about restoring a place where people encounter hope. Bethany Church desires to open its doors again so their community can gather, hear the gospel, and experience the love of Christ.
