Overwhelming Green Space

Fall 2026 (TBD)

Helping a single mom with two adult children with special needs manage their property

This family consists of three adults living together to make ends meet. You would think that between the three, yard maintenance would be an easy task to tackle, but at a closer glance you can see why it's been a struggle. The single mother has had several health issues that have taken her ability to do simple tasks outdoors off the table. Her adult children living with her, although from a distance look able and capable, struggle with their own mental health issues and are unable to perform these tasks safely. Over several years of neglect, the vegetation has begun to take over the property and now the task of restoring the yard to a manageable space is overwhelming & unattainable without help. This is where we can show up & love on them in order to share the hope of a bright future, not only here on earth but also with the security of salvation through Jesus Christ. What a beautiful message to share with our community by showing up in loving on a family in need. Look for volunteer opportunities for this project in early fall. We'd love to have your hands and feet to make a difference.
