Making Room

Rarely do we plan for the day that we cannot move around our home like we used to. It usually just happens, leaving us looking back at a month ago when those simple tasks were just that, simple. Truth is, it doesn't happen overnight but we almost always say that it happened so fast. Here is where we met a man living on his own with a home full of obstacles that he couldn't navigate now that his health took a turn. He found himself unable to navigate steps, taking out the trash, and moving about his home. He needed to purge his home from the unnecessary in order to create a safe, livable environment to maintain his independence. This is where God's people showed up with sleeves rolled up to make an impact, not just in the physical but in the spiritual spaces where the Spirit works to build the Kingdom. After several hours of work, the home has now become a place for him to thrive once again. The volunteers were able to build closer relationships with one another and with the homeowner in unbelievable ways. And as always, we intentionally circle up to pray with everyone involved to bring praise to our hope in Jesus Christ.
