Restore

Just before Christmas, we were contacted by a school liaison to help a family in Fairfield. The family had lost the father of the home to an unexpected overdose near Thanksgiving, earlier this year. Leaving the mother overwhelmed on where to even start. The needs are many but we started with removing everything from the garage and basement due to mold growth from water infiltration, along with a deep cleaning of the main floor. Four dumpsters later, we have restored the basement and garage to a healthy environment for the family to utilize once again. Giving floor space for the children to gather and play with friends and family.

We were blessed to have 20 volunteers on this work day that allowed for huge changes in a short amount of time.

All of the cleaning supplies, dumpsters, and materials needed to make repairs in order to love on this family came from donations. This family will not see a bill come from any of the work or repairs we have done or will do in the future. Please consider supporting the CIA in order to continue meeting families in need with physical solutions in order to spread the love of Christ. This is the only reason we exist, to spread the love of Christ to a broken world in order for the gospel to reach the lost.

Please pray for this family as they navigate life without a father and spouse. May our presence show the light of Christ to them all, as they start to understand their creator loves and cares for them, even when life is so chaotic.

As with all of our connections through CIA, we will stay in touch with the family throughout the year in order to keep that light in their lives and help with any other problems that arise with home ownership.
