Stillwater, MN Mission Trip

July 2025

Coming alongside a small church to lend a helping hand with building maintenance projects.

Not our normal request, but God laid it on our hearts to go help James Brown with his new church family and their facility.

Bethany church was founded in 1885, and God isn't done with them yet. They are small in number but strong in God's might and spirit. We came to move their projects forward by months by doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Blessed with great weather, even though the forecast did not predict it, allowed us to do both interior & exterior projects. Tearing out old carpets, removing pews and padding, cutting down a dozen trees on the property that caused structural issues, ground tree stumps, and painting doors and entrance hall just to name a few. These were the physical tasks at hand but there was another element to our service.

As a group, we walked through the beginning of Nehemiah and as the week progressed the story started to come to life for all of us. We weren't physically being attacked by surrounding cities but we were fighting a spiritual battle that been going on for a long time. We were mending the spiritual walls and gates surrounding this body of believers. Taking time during the activities in order to connect with members, neighbors, and James Brown in order to support and encourage them to move forward in God's calling to impact this community of Stillwater, MN.

By the end of the trip, we found ourselves surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ. All of us are striving to point to Christ in everything we do and say to expand the Kingdom. Please continue to pray for Bethany Church as they continue to navigate what God has in store for them. They are excited to see His provision in this next chapter.
