Stronger Together

June 2026

Serving those who continuously support the community in need

This story looks a bit different from our usual projects, but it’s a powerful example of how our community is stronger when we work together.

Over the past year, Christians in Action has built a great connection with New Life Mission. Their organization does incredible, frontline work in our community, focusing primarily on caring for the homeless population. At their facility, they provide essential resources like a food pantry, hot meals, medical care, and direct pathways toward addiction recovery.

When the Mission recently closed their doors for a brief maintenance window, our team at CIA jumped at the chance to help. Our volunteers came in and tackled a major headache: repairing a stubborn roof leak that had been causing ongoing issues. With the water stopped, we tore out and replaced the damaged drywall and insulation, and then gave their entire kitchen a fresh coat of paint.

Making an impact like this allows us to support those who are supporting our community in a completely different way than we do. New Life Mission handles the critical, daily work of feeding and healing, while we use our hands to keep their roof secure and their space clean. It truly takes a village to spread the love of Christ to those around us, and we are so grateful for partnerships that let us serve the servers.
