When CIA came into the picture, the home needed some TLC. Some projects had been started but then abandoned leaving the family without electric on the second floor of the home (where the bedrooms and only bathroom were located), a load bearing wall demoed and not supported, live electric exposed, the only bathroom demoed, and heating and air ventilation issues. We quickly remedied the easy fixes (framing, electric, and ventilation) while working on how to build funds to do the big job, remodeling the bathroom. The family also needed some car repairs and another group of volunteers stepped up to provide her with the materials and labor to complete this work too.
